Mt. Mitchell.. I'm high again dude! Higher!
We took the RV on a side trip off the Blue Ridge Parkway up to the summit of Mt Mitchell, the highest point on this side of the Mississippi River
at 6,684 ft elevation..
You can drive up to a parking lot near the summit and there is a snack shop/gift shop /rest station there, but then you need to hike up a short, somewhat steep trail to the summit area and an onbservation tower. Billy and i made that trek
