Diamonds are ForNever (8/5/05)

On the way out of Kentucky on Route 65 South we pulled off at Park City, KY to visit the Diamond Caverns. I made a gut decision to avoid Mammoth Cave Park and the worlds largest Cave system (I believe) due to time constraints and a feeling from some informational brouchures that Diamond Caverns would be a quicker stop and a better deal. The Caverns were lit up very well to highlight the amazing features and the tour was guided and lasted about 45 minutes. I later heard someone at the RV park say they were upset with Mammoth Cave. Here are some photos of Diamond Caverns... and NO there are no Diamonds, but it got the name because the man that discoverd the cave thought he may have found a diamond mine ... and the name stuck.
